Thank you for your interest in accommodation at the Frank Parkinson Yorkshire Trust (FPYT) almshouses. We have explained below the full process when registering your interest.

Registering an interest
Registering your interest in an almshouse is the first stage of our selection process.

An Allocations Policy exists to ensure our almshouse properties are offered to those who shall benefit most. Allocations are offered to those individuals who meet the criteria set out in the Allocations Policy at the time when a property becomes available.  We do not operate a waiting list.

Registration of interest process
If you are interested in living in the almshouse accommodation at FPYT you will firstly need to register your interest by completing the following registration form online.

Those registering an interest as a joint application (for example, a married couple/siblings) will require both applicants to complete the registration of interest form.

If you prefer a paper version, you can download the registration form here to print and send by post to: Frank Parkinson Yorkshire Trust, 26 Frank Parkinson Court, Bingley Lands, Guiseley LS20 9EY.

Please remember that if it is a joint application, you will need to complete two forms and send together.

If you require help to complete this form (on paper or digitally), please get in touch with our Team, who will be pleased to assist. Contact details are at the bottom of this page.

A member of our FPYT team will confirm receipt of your registration using your preferred contact method.

What happens after a registration of interest is received by FPYT?
FPYT to not operate a waiting list system for their accommodation. Instead, when there is a property, available all accepted registrations of interest are reviewed.  After this review, potential residents are invited to apply for the property/properties which are available. Only those meeting the criteria for a property (as set out in our Allocations Policy) will be invited to apply. For example, those with physical challenges impacting on their ability to climb stairs would be more likely to be invited to apply for a vacant property which single level living with ground floor access.

As property becomes available, should you be invited to apply for the property, a member of the team will get in touch to explain what you need to do and to share the FPYT almshouse application form which will need to be completed in full and returned.
